Efren E. S. Ricalde, President and CEO

As President and CEO, Efren provides the strategic directions for the company. He is largely responsible for the marketing and sales of company’s products and services. He has about 3 decades of work experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) and Information and Communications Technology (ICT). He has developed several technical and commercial systems at Engineering Equipoint, Inc., deployed oil and gas at Brunei Shell Petroleum and managed Silicon Graphics in the Philippines and Brunei. In 1990, he set-up Geospatial Solutions, Inc. (GSI) and has been its project director for several web, portal, & GIS projects. He was a two-time Chairman of the Philippine Geomatics Association (PhilGeo) and is an active member of several IT associations. Efren has a diploma in Business Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific, units on MS Remote Sensing in University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman and a BS Degree in Geodetic Engineering, also from UP Diliman. He is an experienced public speaker, avid tennis player, creative photographer and an excellent classic guitar player. He maintains and frequently updates his blog at eericalde.blogspot.com in which he discusses various topics on entrepreneurship, IT, eGovernance even his own experiences in dealing and working with people. Hermes J. Dorado, Chairman of the Board

Hermes Dorado is GSI’s Chairman of the Board. He works with the CEO to achieve the mission of the company, interacts with objectives and plans of the Management and develop agendas and schema for Business Development. Prior to joining Geospatial Solutions Inc. (GSI), he was the General Consul of the Philippines to Brazil for 2 years. Prior to that, he was the Deputy Executive Director, Presidential Commission of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFACOM) in the Department of Foreign Affairs. He has over 40 years of experience in various fields ranging from foreign relations and geodetic engineering to teaching in the academe and entrepreneurship. As a seasoned traveler and an experienced diplomat, he has made his mark in many places around the world. Hermes has Masters of Arts in Economics, Masters of Public Administration and a BS degree in Geodetic Engineering from the UP Diliman. Perfecto Yasay Jr., Corporate Counsel

Atty. Perfecto “Jun” Yasay Jr. is the company’s Corporate Counsel. He provides pro-active legal support to the company including negotiation, administration and resolution of legal issues which arise in existing commercial relationships, localization and drafting of all types of contract documents. Atty. Yasay served as the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission from 1995 to 2000 after being an Associate Commissioner from 1993 to 1995. He has also been a Senior Partner to two law offices. A Managing Director to Philippine News, New York Bureau from 1983 to 1987 and a Manager to Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation’s (RCBC) Legal Department from 1973 to 1979. He has diverse experience in the field of legal and judicial systems and has litigated numerous corporate, civil and criminal and immigration cases under the Philippine and American legal and judicial systems and in various quasi-judicial and administrative bodies. Atty. Yasay has MBA units in Business Studies from Ateneo de Manila, a Bachelor of Law from UP Diliman and a BA degree in Political Science from the Central Philippine University. Gemma C. Pelagio, Executive Vice President and COO

Gemma Pelagio is the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of the company. As EVP/COO she is responsible for the company’s day-to-day activities and operations. She leads the company’s technology development including management of a top-flight technology team. Prior to joining GSI, she used to work as a Project Leader, System Analyst, Lead Programmer and Operations Analyst for 8 years in Corporate Information Solutions, Inc. (CIS). She has over 10 years of work experience in Information Technology and has managed several Information & Communication Technology projects. She has used different Microsoft, IBM and other software for architecting, developing and deploying GSI solutions. These are DB2, Websphere, Rational, Lotus, Java, ArcGIS, ArcView, ENVII and Linux. Gemma has MS degrees in Environmental Management from University of New South Wales, Australia and Remote Sensing from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Mary Anne Fabre, Corporate Finance Head

Mary Ann Fabre is the Corporate Finance Head of the company. She has over 4 years of experience in Information Technology and 11 years in Business. Her expertise extends into various business and accounting processes, as well as skills in Project Cost Analysis. Aside from financial management, she is also an expert in company's bidding procedures and has developed skills in bidding management compliance with the different government agencies.
